Here are a few tips to make the most out of your stay. Choose your room wisely. If you are a light sleeper, firmly request a room on the inner courtyard or at the back of the building. If it is the view and the vibe that you want, then ask for a room facing the Abbey; watching its bell towers lit at night is superb, but this comes with all the ambient noise in the town square.

Second, book the restaurant. The restaurant is not only popular among hotel guests but also with locals and other travelers. You can hardly get a table on weekends if you do not reserve one while booking your room. The ‘Menu du Marche’ is often excellent value.

And finally, a quick look at the calendar. If you are staying over on Friday night, be aware that the Saturday morning market is one of the most beautiful and largest in all the region-right nearby. A great opportunity to buy local Bresse poultry or cheeses-but there will be setup noise and activity early in the morning! Also worth noting-this is a very dog-friendly address; if traveling with your pet they will generally be welcomed warmly.
