-
Value for Money
Excellent value. Especially if you make use of the restaurant or negotiate a deal for half-board, this is an excellent price in comparison with others from within the same region.
-
Staff Performance
Warm and authentic; you feel more like a guest in a family home than in an anonymous hotel.
-
Location Convenience
5/5 for tourism in Tournus; it is hard to beat this spot for visiting the town on foot.
-
Area Vibe
The view of the Abbey from some rooms is magnificent, and the Place du Champ de Mars is lively and central.
-
Cleanliness
Clean and well kept. Maybe sometimes the general wear and tear of carpets and fabrics gives a less crisp impression than a new build.
-
Breakfast Experience
A solid gastronomic experience. The menu is creative and uses high-quality local produce.
-
Bed & Pillows
Comfortable but rustic. Bedding is decent, do not expect high-tech amenities or plentiful power outlets.
-
Wi-Fi Performance
Sufficient for checking emails and basic browsing, but not always reliable for HD streaming.
-
Room Freshness
The ambiance throws up that of 'Old France'. So hugging and so assuring. Ideal for a comfortable layover imbued with nostalgia.
-
Quietness Level
Different according to which side of the room, one is facing. Very calm on the courtyard side while quite noisy on the street side.
-
Long-Term Friendly
Suits a gourmet stop along a road trip, elderly couples, and people interested in history.
-
Parking Convenience
Secure and on-site, which is a real strong point for a town center hotel.
